Calgary's noodle restaurants are going head to head this month. Nearly 20 spots around the city, from ramen shops to Thai and Filipino kitchens, have each put together a signature bowl for YYC Noodle Festival, running November 5 through 15. Diners get to vote on categories like Top Rated Noodle and Most Creative Noodle, so part of the fun is just working your way around the city trying a few.
It's a laid-back way to explore neighbourhoods you might not get to otherwise, and a portion of every bowl sold goes to the Leftovers Foundation, which redirects surplus food back into the community. No tickets needed, just show up to a participating restaurant and order.
