Every fall, Doors Open YYC pulls back the curtain on Calgary buildings you'd otherwise never get inside — this year it runs the weekend of September 26 and 27, with sites offering free access, most between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. (hours vary a bit by location, so it's worth checking each site's specific window before heading out).
It's a nice one to build a little Saturday or Sunday itinerary around, whether you're into architecture, local history, or just curious what's behind doors you pass every day.
